This term we focused on comparing as a reading strategy and the explanation genre. We had great fun integrating our reading into our Science topic body organs, signs of Autumn, what is hibernation, why do leaves change colour in Autumn, what are food chains and in History Why do we celebrate Halloween.
In Maths we like using concrete materials for place value and fractions. We use fun board game to practice our multiplication tables.
We loved our PE this term doing tennis, G.A.A., soccer and our fundraising marathon. In Art we created a beautiful Autumn forest to display at our Harvest Festival. We studied the artist Van Gogh and painted beautiful starry night portraits. In Gaeilge we love playing snakes and ladders and four in a row to practice vocabulary and can really good at discussing ourselves.
What a busy term, we look forward to a rest at Halloween.
